Dare the Gods
Season One of The Hollow Gods, a Dark, Spicy Norse Mythology-Inspired Serial
Some secrets aren’t buried. They’re bound.
Katja Lokisdottir is a demigoddess who spent a century as a soldier. She knows how to fight, how to survive, and how to deflect every question about the shapeshifting she can’t quite manage. Magic that should be her birthright. Magic she can’t access.
She's just settling into her new assignment as an instructor at Einherjar, the elite academy where demigod warriors are forged. Nobody wants her there. Not the faculty who resent Trickster blood in their halls. Not the students sizing her up as a liability. And certainly not Hersir Gunnar Thorsen, Thor's favorite halfbreed son, who makes his opinion of her heritage abundantly clear.
He’s not wrong to be cautious. She’s not wrong to be angry. They’re both going to have to get over it.
When Loki becomes the prime suspect in a theft that could destabilize the Nine Realms, Katja is handed an impossible assignment: join Hersir Thorsen on a quest to find Mjolnir and maybe, if she’s lucky, clear her father’s name.
Working alongside a demigod who doesn’t trust her, navigating hostile realms, all while the academy’s headmaster watches her with an interest that has nothing to do with admiration…
What could go wrong?
This is Not a Norse Mythology Retelling
The Hollow Gods is a work of fiction inspired by Norse mythology and the rich tradition of its gods, creatures, and cosmology—and I do mean inspired. Creative license has been taken throughout. Lore has been reimagined and reshaped to serve the story, and should not be taken as accurate representations of the original mythological texts or Scandinavian cultural history.
This is a dark, spicy romantasy. I borrowed things from the Norse pantheon and had a fantastic time with them. I firmly believe Loki would approve of the chaos about to ensue.
If you’re a Norse mythology purist, welcome. And also, I’m sorry.
Episode 1 is free for everyone on April 1. No commitment required to start reading. No fooling.
Stay tuned. More details coming before the first episode drops.

I saw in the sprints earlier that you posted this. I need to come back and read this later 😁
Y’all. I have read the first bit and let me tell you… Sarah can’t write these fast enough for me! I’m absolutely riveted.
